Soften Wrinkles for a Naturally Refreshed Appearance

As we age, the muscles in our faces tend to become more active and can contribute to the formation of wrinkles and fine lines, particularly in areas of frequent expression such as the forehead, around the eyes, and between the eyebrows. Additionally, factors like sun exposure, lifestyle habits, and genetics can accelerate the aging process, leading to the development of dynamic wrinkles. Botox, a neurotoxin derived from botulinum toxin, works by temporarily relaxing these overactive muscles, smoothing out wrinkles and preventing the formation of new lines.

We offer expertly administered Botox® treatments to help you achieve a refreshed and rejuvenated appearance. Our Botox® treatments are designed to target and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, giving you smoother, more youthful-looking skin. Botox and dermal fillers can be used together in cosmetic procedures. Together, they can provide comprehensive rejuvenation by addressing different aspects of facial aging.

What is Botox®?

Botox® short for Botulinum toxin, is a neurotoxic protein. When injected into specific muscles, it temporarily blocks nerve signals, preventing muscle contractions that cause wrinkles. This results in a smoother, more relaxed appearance in the treated areas.

What can Botox® Treat?

Botox® is commonly used to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by repeated facial movements such as squinting, smiling, or frowning. Common treatment areas include:

  • Forehead lines: Horizontal lines that form across the forehead when you raise your eyebrows.

  • Glabellar lines: Vertical lines between the eyebrows, also known as frown lines or "11" lines.

  • Crow's feet: Fine lines and wrinkles that appear around the corners of the eyes when smiling or squinting.

What to Expect During Treatment

During your Botox® treatment at Luminous Skin, our experienced practitioners will carefully inject the Botox® solution into the targeted muscles using a fine needle. The procedure is quick and virtually painless, with most patients experiencing minimal discomfort.

Results and Recovery

You may start to notice improvements in your skin's appearance within a few days of your Botox® treatment, with full results typically visible within 7 to 10 days. The effects of Botox® typically last for 3 to 4 months, after which additional treatments may be necessary to maintain your desired results.

At Luminous Skin, your safety and satisfaction are our top priorities. We use only high-quality, FDA-approved Botox® products and adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure optimal results and minimise the risk of side effects.
